850 STREET ROADSTER
Yamaha wanted to design a middleweight roadbike with roadster heritage and a motard riding position. The result is the Yamaha MT-09. Powered by a new three cylinder engine, utilising technology from their YZ450F motocross bike to produce what Yamaha call clean torque; that is, no dead spots on the torque curve. Aggressive styling, low mount 3-into-1 pipes and narrow cut 10-spoke cast aluminum wheels, gives this bike a powerful street look.
