UPGRADED TOMTOM RIDER NAVIGATOR
Last month TomTom announced a new SatNav, updating their Rider model with a larger (11 cm, 4.3 inch) higher resolution screen, including the necessary glove-friendly screen capability and anti-glare / weather-proofing that bikers require. One new hardware feature is a new charging dock that powers on/off with your bike’s ignition. However, it seems most effort has gone into software development. An interesting feature is selecting routes based on Winding Roads mode, along with Upload Routes & Go, Trip Recording and Route Management options. The new TomTom Rider 5 SatNav comes with free lifetime maps and is available for pre-order.
