A BURT MUNRO SPECIAL
Indian Motorcycle have built a custom bike, based on Burt Munro’s modified Indian Scout 1967 land-speed record bike, to show off their new Thunder Stroke 111 engine and pay homage to the famous New Zealand motorcycle racer. The Spirit of Munro Streamliner is built to run fast with a custom exhaust and intake system, housed in the all-aluminum Munro style fairing. Taking three months to construct, the build used hand formed, aircraft fabrication techniques to reproduce the Munro bodywork. Indian’s new engine is a 111 cubic inch (1.8 litre) V-Twin, designed from the ground up to power Indians into the future.
