CUSTOM BIKE BUILDING STORE
In recent years there’s been a resurgence in custom bike building, especially around the cafe racer scene. It might be related to the current economic climate but probably also draws on the demand for homemade goods and the interest in, and development of, craft and workshop skills. Dime City Cycles have tapped into this scene with a parts business focused on “helping guys build cool bikes.” This short film is based around interviews of the co-owners and tells a compelling story. The owners experienced problems with sourcing parts for their own bikes and decided to build a business to solve this problem. For them, “cafe culture is about taking what you have and making it into the most, with limited resources.” Dime City Cycles only sell parts for custom garage builders with a DIY mentality.
