REFINED BIG ADVENTURE TOURER
Brought to the market in 2012, the Honda Crosstourer is a big sports tourer with off-road adventure capabilities. For 2014, Honda state the aim was to “improve the Crosstourer’s comfort, evolve its existing technology and apply new touches.” The bike is built around a large capacity 1237cc, V4 engine with modern electronic control systems including traction control based on the new Honda Selectable Torque Control that constantly monitors wheel rotation speeds and has three modes of operation to match road conditions. Some of the Crosstourer’s off-road ability is derived from its Pro-Link rear suspension with a 19 inch front tyre and spoked wheels combination, although its kerb weight of 275 kg will make this bike a challenge to manage on serious off-road routes. The 2014 model also has a new camouflage paint job.
