Stan Dibben was the World Sidecar champion in 1953. As the passenger on the sidecar he received a silver medal and his driver, or is it rider, got a gold one. To add more injury to this insult, the organisers miss-spelled his name. This short film, No Ordinary Passenger, is a wonderful little documentary, profiling the racing life of 86 year old Stan Dibben. “Side car racing is addictive, joyish lunacy, if you like” says Stan. He is a character. Definitely worth a watch.
