SMALL ADVENTURE BIKE
Small dual sport bikes suitable for overland adventure riding are thin on the ground. One option is the 2015 Yamaha WR250R. Although a bit limited on size and power for comfortable long distance highway riding, the WR250R is a very capable off-road machine with a long service interval and modern engine design. This 250 is powered by a fuel injected, liquid-cooled DOHC engine that drives through a wide ratio, constant mech six-speed gearbox to an eighteen inch rear wheel and off-road friendly twenty-one up front. Wet weight is just 134 kg (295 lb) and stated fuel economy is 71 mpg.
