ON A SIDECAR MISSION
Last year Ural’s limited edition bike was firmly grounded in the Midwest of America. This year, Ural have gone in the opposite direction, with the new Ural MIR, drawing inspiration from a 20 year old joint Russian-American space mission. For the space craft theme, Ural have painted the bike “brilliant orbital white with fine metal flake and finished with blue pearl clear.” A nice touch, and throughly functional one too, is a small solar panel to power on-board gadgets and charge the Ural’s battery. Other features include dual high-intensity LED lights, a space blanket lined thermal tonneau side-car cover and an “emergency repair wrench.”
