WATER PUMP FILTER
In you’re in the back country, or maybe on an overseas trip, where you’re not certain about the quality of the water, a good option is to carry a lightweight water filter unit. Katadyn’s Mini Black might be that option. The pump filter is small, just 210g (8oz) and uses a silver impregnated ceramic depth filtration system to remove “bacteria, protozoa, cysts, algae, spores, sediments and viruses in combination with particles greater than 0.2 microns.” The unit comes with a pre filter and carry bag.
