FOR WORLD TRAVEL
Has the watch gone out of fashion? Do we need a watch when our phone is a viable timepiece substitute? Maybe, or maybe not. Finnish watchmaker Suunto recently released a world traveller watch named after the Tibetan peak, Mount Kailash. The Suunto Kailash watch has global, automatic time functionality with location updates via GPS, “a unique new adventure logbook that reveals a summary of your adventures – such as how many countries or cities you’ve visited and how far you’ve travelled – simply by pressing the 7R sapphire button.” Other features include a direction and distance to home or starting point mode, several adventure timeline display layouts, and iPhone call, text, and push notifications.
