FiiO’s new A5 Portable Amplifier is the latest update to their well regarded E12 series of small, travel-friendly, portable headphone amplifiers. Featuring the same E12 form factor and internal opamp combination, the new A5 now as a longer life battery with smart charging technology allowing for a quick 2.5 hour charge and 13 hours play time. Aesthetic and performance upgrades include a new metal surface treatment resulting in a more durable unit, a new volume knob inspired by string instruments, an improved headphone connector, an LED charging light that displays charging speed, and upgraded electronics producing an improved signal-to-noise ratio, better power management, and reduction in sound distortion with an increase in dynamic range.
