FEBRUARY TRAVEL & MOTO VIDEOS

Skills, Phenomenology, and Motorcycles: Why following rules, then forgetting them and taking risks makes you a better rider.

A SELECTION OF MOTORCYCLE TRAVEL VIDEOS FOR FEBRUARY 2018

The videos we've selected for this month focus on women riding motorcycles on long distance adventure trips.

Four women travelling the world by motorcycle: A video introducing a Southern Africa trip, a highlight montage video covering the Americas and Australia with some adventure hiking, the start of a world trip in South Korea, and an interview with Lois Pryce.

GIRL GONE GLOBAL

A fun short montage video from Elisa Wirkala capturing the wonderful experiences of a world traveller. Elisa has travelled extensively in the Americas, Europe, and Australia by motorcycle, principally following a low cost, budget approach to moto travel, showing ADV travel is an obtainable goal for most people, even if just for short trips.

RIDING SOLO ACROSS SOUTH AFRICA ON A YAMAHA XT660

Follow Rosie Gabrielle as she rides a Yamaha XT660 across Southern Africa in a five month overland journey filmed in 2017. This looks like a fun trip with plenty of adventure. Presented vlog style, this fast paced, nicely edited trailer is a great introduction to an episodic documentary of her African motorcycle adventure.

ON HER BIKE SOLO AROUND THE WORLD

Kinga Tanajewska is documenting her round-the-world journey by motorcycle. She left Australia in April 2017 heading north, bike shipped to South Korea to start the expedition. This video introduces the trip, presented in a casual, informative vlog style.

ADVENTURE MOTORCYCLIST LOIS PRYCE - INTERVIEW

If you’re looking for motorcycle ADV inspiration then check out Lois Pryce. She’s travelled the length of the Americas in 2003 and in 2006 embarked on an African adventure, leaving the UK and heading across the Sahara Desert and the jungles of the Congo, to reach Cape Town, South Africa as a solo traveller. Both trips were documented in well written and entertaining books. This short video interview introduces Lois, some of her travel experiences, and her philosophy of motorcycle travel.
